well I spend myself some good times on many Cruise ships in my days and I must say it was a great time all over ..
I am still in contact with many chefs and friends from all these times ..One of them is Josef J. he is based in Miami and he feeds me often with news from the industries as well as their latest Ship The OASIS OF THE SEAS. a giant and yes the largest cruise ship afloat this days ..
1.2 bio dollars and the size is just to big to describe..
I been in Royal Caribbean Cruises for 1 year as a travelling pastry chef working and went to over 20 ships in one year to implement menus and check on standards etc and it was very interesting for me to see all that .During my time I had the pleasure to part of the opening team of two ships ( Serenade of the Seas and also – Mariner of the Seas ) knowing what it means to pull a ship that size out of the dock and into operations in various oceans full of guests ..( who are always and I mean always hungry) is a huge accomplishment.
